Times change...

... It's nice when they do... Mostly.

For the past couple of months I have had the same sad song and finally, in the name of mental health, the song is changing it's tune. My repeated sob story is turning a leaf in a more positive, healthy and self-gratifying direction. I can't say that I am disappointed to inform you of my recent resignation at my fulfilling yet insanity inducing employment of the past seven months. In two weeks from yesterday I will be going West young man; heading right and down the street to serve the business folk their lunches by day and seat the yuppy's by night. To use the term that my newly aquired employee handbook references - a Kegger I will be. By weekend, I suppose, I'll be steaming milk and serving imperial cookies at my preferred hangout location: The Forks. From an 8 to 4:30er turned shift worker my life will become that which it is intended to be at the fresh new age of 21. No more bitter, raging cougars squealing stories of drunkeness and ma... I'll spare us both the details. Life will be grand, I'm hoping, and my attitude will improve drastically with each day I do not have to be at work at eight am and with each night I can stay up past ten thirty pm. Free spirit will be my name, much like that of my bicycle... or the same, and flying by the seat of my pants will be my game. That is the intent of this beloved career change made just in time for the wonderful summer months in Winnipeg to be enjoyed. Are you detecting enthusiasm? Your perception is correct my friend and I will continue to smile on until the creases in my face are near permanent.

In other notes of enthusiasm, Prince Caspian was just wonderful. I have to say that I much preferred the first of the two, however, the second was still a delight to my newishly framed eyes. My biggest quam was at the very end of the show: the lack of attention paid to Aslan and the very cute but seemingly out of place Regina Spektor tune being played to the romance in action between the new King of Narnia and the babe Queen Susan. I have high motivation to re-read my favorite childhood series as, while I was watching the movie, I could barely remember what was supposed to happen next. Shame. Ah well, heads high and onto bigger and better things, or those that were great to be repeated. Whatever the case may be, I'm in good spirits, and the spirits shall be good this weekend - not for me, but for some.

Here, here. BAM.

Caspian was awesome!! I kind of enjoyed how there was no Aslan though..... although I love the lion and Liam Neeson as the voice makes him more epic than any other character ever... I really liked how they did that whole analogy with "No one believes in Aslan anymore" "Aslan has abandoned us" stuff. Just like people are today with God and stuff!
It was like... totally deep and noise. Totally. woah.

You seen Iron Man? Hilarious. I loved it.
